WHAT REMAINS HIDDEN FROM OUR SIGHT
From the NIV:
For we live by faith, not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7)
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5)
When we hold a ball before us, we see the side facing us, but the other side remains hidden. Our inability to see it does not mean it isn’t there. Life often presents us with a similar challenge: we see the disappointment, the delay, or the unanswered prayer, but we cannot see everything surrounding it. God sees what our position does not allow us to see.
What we see is real, and our pain matters. Yet the part we can see is not the whole picture. Before we conclude that God has forgotten us, we can remember that His understanding reaches beyond ours. We may not know what comes next, but we can trust His presence and ask for wisdom to take the next faithful step.
We do not have to pretend we understand the other side. Faith allows us to say, “Lord, this is what I see, and this is where I hurt. Help me trust You with what remains hidden.”
Heart Check: Where have we allowed a limited view to become our final conclusion? Today, let us surrender one unanswered question to God while remaining faithful in what He has already made clear.
