Dr. Emeka Obi Anyiam is a licensed marriage and family therapist, ordained minister, author, and Founder and CEO of Embridge Counseling Services, LLC. His life and work are rooted in a powerful belief: where we begin does not have to determine where we end.

Born and raised in Nkwerre, Imo State, Nigeria, Emeka came from humble beginnings. After high school, he answered God’s call to Christian ministry and eventually served in pastoral leadership. But limited opportunities and growing family responsibilities led him to make a life-changing decision—to leave the only home he had ever known and begin again in the United States.

Emeka arrived in New Jersey in 1991. Through faith, perseverance, and determination, he built a new life, became a United States citizen, and pursued the education he had long dreamed of receiving.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Montclair State University, followed by a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University and a doctorate from Colorado Theological Seminary. Each step strengthened the calling that had been present from the beginning: to help people heal, grow, and discover greater purpose in their lives.
